1. We operate a state of the art wine production facility in Oakleigh (winery visits by appointment only) and last year we processed about 430 tons of grapes, mainly from the Yarra Valley and Murray Valley.
2. We provide wine making and consulting services for many vineyard owners and some of those ¡°client¡± wines are also available at 131 Koornang Road, Carnegie.
3. We presently have about 150,000 litres of wine maturing in a mixture of oak barriques and hogs heads for ourselves and various winemaking clients and can offer individual barrel bottling for your club or social group.
4. All of the white wines we produce are Whole bunched pressed ¨C an incredibly laborious and time consuming process, but leads to a superior quality wine.
5. We still open top ferment with hand plunging many of our red wines ¨C last vintage more than 150 tons of grapes were processed in this incredibly laborious manner.
6. Our attention to quality and detail in every aspect of our wine making process and bottling is obsessive ¨C this shows in the quality of our wines and most of our wines are from individual vineyards and we know exactly the quantity of the grapes we receive.
7. Recent Show Awards ¨C too numerous to list here, however, Big Fella Cabernet Sauvignon 2003 recently won a Gold at the Inland Wine Show and also received a Trophy for the Best Dry Red of the region. Wines which we have made have won the trophy for the best wine in the ¡°Grape Growers Class¡± at the Inland Wine Show the last 2 years running. The Brumby Duriff 2002 won Gold at the Alternative Varieties Show and was in the taste off for best wine of the show! For the first time, we entered our wines from the Yarra Valley at the recent Lilydale Wine Show and received two Silvers and three Bronzes.
8. We spend a great deal per year on barrel aging of Chardonnay and various red wines. You can purchase these individual hand made wines for as little as $9.99 per bottle.
